Brittany Gordon is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, born and raised in Miami, FL. Brittany relocated to Tampa where she pursued her Bachelors in Criminology with a minor in Psychology at the University of South Florida. She later returned to her Alma Mater to complete her Masters in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling.
Brittany has spent the last few years working with adolescents who experience deficits in emotion regulation skills and behavioral issues. She utilizes a systemic approach by providing individual, group, couples, and family therapy. Brittany has been trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy which help clients navigate through difficulties such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, and grief. Brittany has also facilitated parent skills training groups which enable parents to create healthy, communicative, and respectful relationships with their children.
As a teenager who was injected into her parents’ marital issues, Brittany has an unrelenting passion for helping couples and families work through relational issues. She focuses on rebuilding trust, enhancing communication, and creating healthy boundaries. Brittany specializes in helping individuals build skills to manage everyday stressors as well as life’s unforeseen circumstances. She is driven to help families build a foundation which fosters a healthy, functioning dynamic.
In her free time, Brittany enjoys connecting with family and friends, and taking her dog daughter, Nova, to the dog park. She also loves traveling and trying new restaurants!
