Clinical Mental Health Intern

Laura was born in Dallas, Texas and raised in the greater Tampa Bay area. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Tampa and is currently completing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wake Forest University, graduating August 2025.

Laura holds a Level One Certification in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and is also a certified SYMBIS premarital counseling facilitator. Laura’s background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) has given her experience supporting parents and families navigating ADHD and autism spectrum diagnoses.
Laura works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, and major life transitions. She also specializes in relationship conflict, premarital counseling, inner child work, and helping clients find clarity and confidence in who they are.

Her person-centered, collaborative approach draws from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with the goal of helping clients feel more whole, grounded, and empowered to make lasting change.

Outside the therapy room, you can find Laura trying a new restaurant with her fiancé, spending time with her close friends and family or taking her Cavapoo, Graham, to the park for a tennis ball chase. She also enjoys working out and exploring ways to integrate wellness, nutrition and physical health into her approach to mental health.
