Clinical Therapist

Job description KDM Counseling Group provides a friendly, compassionate, and collaborative approach to relationship therapy in Saint Petersburg, Florida. We are seeking a skilled Clinical Therapist with Individual, Marriage and Family Therapy experience to join our team. Our practice values enthusiasm, creativity, and collaboration. Looking for a self-starter who is interested in growing their clinical skills and serving clients in an empathic and approachable fashion. Job Duties:
  • Provides high quality, compassionate, and ethical mental health treatment (in-office or online) to Individuals, Couples, and Families. Couples Counseling experience a PLUS!
  • Completes treatment planning and psychotherapy services to diverse populations.
  • Establishes continuity of care in the best interest of the clients.
  • Makes clinical recommendations and provides clinical support through the electronic records system.
  • Maintain secure client information per HIPAA standards and case files within electronic health record (EHR) that are up to date as described in the Job Expectations handout.
  • Actively participates as a positive member of the clinical environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of family systems and their impact on mental health within the family.
  • Skill in applying varied interventions with individuals/families in crisis.
  • Skill in working with a variety of cultures.
  • Skill in working independently and implementing time management strategies.
  • Ability to provide necessary self-care.
  • Ability to demonstrate positive team interactions with other clinic staff.
  • Awareness of personal strengths and appropriate timing for referrals.
  Education and Experience:
  • Masters’ Degree in a mental health-related field.
  • Registered Intern or Licensed within the State of Florida. Specific experience and interest in couples and marital counseling.
  • Previous experience in office-based counseling and knowledge of EHR are desirable but not required.
