Laura Moyer

Mental Health Counseling Intern

Laura was born in Dallas, Texas, and raised in the greater Tampa Bay area. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Tampa and earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University.

Coming from a blended family, Laura brings both personal insight and passion to her work with individuals, teens, and couples. She is committed to helping clients build unity and make meaningful, lasting change. Laura is EMDR trained, holds a Level One Certification in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and is also a certified SYMBIS pre-marital counseling facilitator.

Laura works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, and major life transitions. She also specializes in premarital counseling, relationship conflict, and helping clients find clarity and confidence in who they are and how they show up in their relationships. Her person-centered, collaborative approach draws from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with the goal of helping clients feel more whole and empowered to make lasting change.

Outside the therapy room, you’ll usually find Laura trying a new restaurant, spending time with her friends/family, or taking her Cavapoo, Graham, on a walk—usually with her husband and a coffee in hand. She also enjoys exercising and exploring ways to integrate wellness, nutrition, and physical health into her approach to mental health.
