Brittany Hundley, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

Brittany Hundley started her education at University of South Florida, earning her Bachelor’s in Psychology and continued onto University of South Florida where she earned a Master’s in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling.

The first steps that Brittany took into counseling involved grief and trauma counseling which exposed her to suicide loss, homicide loss, sexual abuse or assault, and hate crimes. Where many might have felt overwhelmed by these difficult topics, Brittany felt exceptionally prepared by life to be of service. Brittany developed skills working with children, teens, parents, families and individuals who were experiencing grief and trauma.

Sexual trauma is one of Brittany’s clinical passions. Through individual and group therapy, Brittany provides comfort and hope for women who have experienced sexual abuse. Sexual trauma can affect every aspect of one’s identity and life experience: from self-esteem to sexual comfort to managing symptoms of trauma. Brittany comes to the clinical setting ready to support, lead, and equip women on their path to wholeness and healing.

Brittany is a survivor of gun violence, family violence, and sexual trauma which give her an added insight into the difficulties and lasting impact of trauma. She believes that there is hope, healing, and wholeness on the other side of life’s hardships.
