Abigail Burge, Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern

Abigail is a Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Alabama in Psychology and Human Development & Family Studies and her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Appalachian State University. Abigail has written articles that have been published in professional journals, covering topics of art therapy with adolescents and the use of meditation in therapy with parents of newborns.

Abigail has a passion for working with children, adolescents, and families struggling with self-esteem, emotional disturbances, life changes, family/relational dysfunction, and trauma. She also has a passion for working with the LGBTQ+ population and strives to create an inclusive practice for all identities. Her work focuses on providing a systemic perspective of mental health issues and relational conflicts. Abigail offers an open, non-judgmental therapeutic space for all individuals.
